SYMPOSIA
AND STUDY TOURS

In the Fall each year the VSA holds or co-sponsors a Symposium or Study Tour to a different location of Victorian interest.

For Symposia, members assemble for lectures, presentation and other activities; while Study Tours take the form of  motoring and walking tours of museums, historic buildings, etc., together with banquets and  receptions.

Did you know?

In 1975 the Society conducted its tenth annual study tour to the U.K.  There have been many tours to Europe since then, including Vienna and Salzburg in 1985.

In 1981 the VSA conducted a Chocolate Lover's Tour of Switzerland?  The premise being that the Victorians were the first in the world to delight in eating chocolate candy.  The tour proudly announced its departure on Swissair from New York by jumbo jet.

The Study Tour to Rhinebeck, NY, was sold-out TWICE.  First, in 2005 and again in 2006 when reprise was held owing to popular demand.
