Meet the director of the London Summer School

 KIT WEDD

Kit Wedd was the first Education Officer of the VS in London and was Deputy Director of the Society from 1993-1995.  Until recently, she chaired the committee responsible for the care of Linley Sambourne House, a house museum with perfectly preserved late 19th C interiors, in Kensington, London

She now works as a freelance writer and editor, specializing in architectural conservation and historic interior decoration.  She is particularly interested in the design and decoration of modest Victorian houses, and these form the subject of her book, The Victorian Society Book of the Victorian House, which was published by Aurum Press in Autumn 2002.
